Covid-19 Further Update - Important

As you will no doubt be aware, the Government's latest classification system to combat the spread of Covid-19 has ramifications for those planning to use the Club's facilities who live within these locations. While the Club remains in a Tier 1 category, all 32 London Boroughs, the City of London, and Elmbridge are now currently designated Tier 2, with some other areas of England designated Tier 3. The Covid-19 Sub-Committee have now had a chance to further discuss the implications for the Club, so please read and absorb what lies below and bear in mind that we are simply doing what we are legally required to do in order to safeguard the Club and its future, and to help limit the risks inherent in playing golf and socialising at the Club. 

If you are resident in an area under Tier 2 restrictions:

- You must not socialise with anybody outside of your household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place. This includes the terrace, which by law is deemed to be an indoor space as it has three walls. You can still use the toilet facilities, assuming all the usual social distancing protocols are adhered to.

- You must not socialise in a group of more than six outside

As you can imagine, these additional measures have added another unwelcome degree of complexity to an already demanding situation for the team here at the Club, and given the extreme difficulty in monitoring or controlling the compliance of individuals, let alone remembering where everyone lives, we are particularly reliant on your own common sense to adhere to what the Government and the Club are asking of you. 

We all appreciate that for those currently resident in a Tier 2 location, this latest change must be really frustrating but the Committee are hard at work exploring options for alternative food & beverage arrangements that will be easier to operate and that could provide comfortable outdoor seating through the winter months.
