Updated Covid-19 statement for visitors

Coronavirus disease / Covid-19

This page is intended to provide a single reference point for casual visitors and the organisers of society, charity and corporate golf days, setting out the Club's current position in light of the current coronavirus disease pandemic. It will be updated regularly and dated at the foot of the page.

In line with the Government's clear position on non-essential movement and activity during the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Clubhouse and golf course are now closed until further notice, although we are maintaining a staffing level throughout this period that will enable us to continue to administer essential work on and off the course. Whilst we are all subject to the same uncertainties regarding when this situation might change, it is our current position that we do not expect there to be a prospect of golf at Woking until June 2020 at the very earliest, and this will be reviewed on a regular basis subject to the medical and Governmental guidance given.

As and when we are in a position to consider re-opening, we will update this statement, and as time permits we will get back in touch with organised groups and societies to re-confirm details and arrangements. We expect there will be significant alterations to schedules and will provide the usual warm and flexible Woking response, but due to the likely volume of requests for rearranged fixtures, we may not be physically able to accommmodate every request. We do, however, already have our 2021 fixtures in draft form, so we will definitely be able to welcome you back to the Club in the not-too-distant future.

In the meantime, please stay well and adhere to all the restrictions imposed, in order that we can all get through this difficult and challenging period.

With very best wishes to you all
